Extreme Extends Americas Channel Leadership

This week, we spent time with customers and partners in Nashville, TN at Extreme Connect to share our insights, roadmap, and vision. We hosted many strategic and technical sessions to better equip both customers and partners to head into our new fiscal year 2023 feeling refreshed and energized about the future. With a new fiscal year approaching, I am excited to announce some changes to the Americas Channel Sales team.

First, I am pleased to announce that we’ve added Jennifer Orr as Vice President of Americas Channel, supporting Canada, LATAM, and the U.S. Jennifer comes to Extreme with more than 20 years of channel experience leading cloud communications, contact center, and cloud platform sales teams. She’s been a long-time channel advocate and has a strong reputation in the cloud partner community for leading and developing go-to-market strategies in the Master Agent and Service Provider partner networks. Prior to Extreme, Jennifer was key to developing the Master Agent model and programs at Mitel following its acquisition of ShoreTel, which was done to fast-track its heritage on-premises business move to the cloud.

Brenda Richardson, our previous head of Americas Channel, has been promoted to VP, Global Strategic Channel Operations where she will work closely with me to drive channel strategy, execution and alignment. Her 20+ years of experience in the IT industry spans various disciplines, including channel leadership, channel sales, direct sales, strategy, business development, acquisition, integration, and alignment. She has held strategic positions with both manufacturers and resellers. In each capacity, she leads with her passion for the channel and sees it as the leading indicator of an organization’s success.

At Extreme, Brenda has led our Americas Channel Sales team for the last two years and has been a proponent of leading through change as we grow and adapt to new markets, solution offerings, and challenges.

Together, this duo will continue to drive great momentum and success in our channel.

I caught up with Jennifer at CONNECT to get her early impressions on Extreme. Here’s what she had to say”

What excites you about Extreme?

Jennifer: I’m thrilled to be joining such a passionate team and partner community and look forward to working with the channel to simplify processes and make it even easier to do business with Extreme. As we head into a new fiscal year, we’ll build off the electric energy of Connect and extend the tremendous successes of the past year.

What are some of your plans for the Americas channel?

Jennifer: There are a lot of opportunities here at Extreme! I’m ready to help build different programs for the partners, simplify the partner experience, and really make it easier for partners to do business with Extreme.

What’s something that you’ve learned in your first 24 hours at Extreme?

Jennifer: I’m so grateful to have met with Extreme leaders, my coworkers, and many partners on my first day. With this passionate group, I think there’s a lot of potential to grow and make things even better for them. As a first-time observer, the energy is unmatched, making me feel great walking into the company.
