5 Steps Extreme Has Taken to Support the Financial and Functional Operations of Partners

Lorna Pierno Director, Global Channel Marketing Published 7 May 2020

Extreme continues to proactively respond to the COVID-19 pandemic by supporting the operational vitality of our channel partners and customers. Now through September 30, 2020, Extreme is offering LEAP – our Lending Enablement & Assistance Program, to provide preferential financial terms for qualified channel partners.

Further, LEAP also ensures current Extreme channel partners can maintain their current competency certification levels through the balance of 2020 as well as have access to an expanded portfolio of free online training options.

Here are the five steps we’ve taken so qualified channel partners seeking innovative networking capabilities can advance with us during this time of critical need.

1. Extended Financing Options

To maximize near term cash flow, LEAP offers payment deferment options of up to 180 days.

To further aid financial flexibility, qualified channel partners and customers can have access to financing options as low as 0% across the term of the loan.

Users can also benefit from the Extreme Network Subscription. With just a 60-day notice, this monthly subscription enables partners to refresh and swap previously purchased Extreme products with a new product.

2. Partner Training & Certification Offers

LEAP allows channel partners to retain their certifications, take additional training, and earn performance rebates. More importantly, LEAP simplifies the ability for Extreme channel partners to maintain their partner program status into calendar year 2021. These specific changes include:

  • Extending all ACTIVE Specializations & Master Specializations as of March 15, 2020, until September 30, 2020, to provide partners flexibility and more time by not having to focus on re-certification of existing knowledge.
  • CWNA requirements will be waived until September 30, based on the closure of the majority of testing centers.
  • Offering free cloud technical certification training through September 18 that can be completed from anywhere in the world via an internet connection. Training can be accessed via our Remote Networking Solutions Page.
  • 90% of Extreme´s technical certification training is already available through virtual classrooms through our Authorized Training Partners. For more information, please contact learn@extremenetworks.com.

3. Rebate Target Alleviation

We will be reducing the achievement targets for the Diamond Growth Rebate.  Please check out your Diamond Growth Rebate Portal to review your current status. Reduced Targets will appear as of April 2.

4. Partner Program Status

All Partner Levels will be extended through December 2020. The next leveling review will be performed in January 2021. The partner level training requirements, which were announced in October 2019, will now be pushed out from March to June 30, 2020.

For Authorized Partners, there is a new training available that replaces the previous ESS & EDS requirement. Please note that the new requirements will be visible on the Training Dashboard as of April 14, 2020.

5. PartnerWorks Certified

Any current ECS exceptions will be extended through June 2020, for partners who participate in our PartnerWorks program.
